More about Jeff Davis...
After finishing college with a marketing degree and marrying his high school sweetheart, he jumped into the Personal Computer revolution and its Wild West swagger colliding with business and technological innovations. Jeff would say the Lord brought him to the right place at the right time to begin a career. For two decades, beginning in 1979, he was captivated by the pioneer spirit and rapid change that thrust this business sector to the forefront of the consumer products market. It was an exciting time, yet there was a growing restlessness in Jeff's heart and ultimately he made a big transition into vocational Christian work. This has taken him all over the world and honed his leadership, pastoral giftings, team building, organizational development, and cross-cultural management skills.
His two vocational paths, business and ministry, converged into several God-given opportunities. He was a founding board member for Marketplace Ministries Worldwide, with a vision to utilize small business as a platform for evangelism and discipleship in third world contexts. Serving Evangelical Friends Church in denominational leadership, as Chief Financial Officer, refined both his fiscal management acumen as well as his abilities to implement systems to steward capital and human resources. For eleven years, he oversaw regional operations, finance and accounting, marketing, real estate and facilities, legal and insurance compliance, and strategic initiatives for the network of Friends Churches in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Being part of planting two churches, and serving as a bi-vocational pastor, has given him perspective related to the call of God to serve in both paid and volunteer capacities.
Jeff will tell you that his life is focused on spending his dash serving Christ.
His business resume includes IBM, Xerox, AST Computers, Ingram Micro. Non-profits include Azusa Pacific University School of Theology, Evangelical Friends Church Southwest, Canyon Hills Friends Church, Rowntree Gardens (CCRC), Marketplace Ministries Worldwide, Friends Financial Development Corp., and Olive Branch International.
